Casey’s Cause attends the PDSA National Conference in Chicago.

For
the second year, Shannon and Christine attended the PDSA Conference.
This conference is a means for patients, parents, and care givers to
educate themselves with the latest information about ITP. Doctors,
whose primary area of treatment is ITP, from around the country, attend
in order to meet and bring this information to those who attend.
Everyone is encouraged to share success stories and ask questions.
Shannon
and Christine were given encouragement from all those who attended to
continue in their efforts. They were also able to meet and speak with
Drs. Bussell and Tarantino, two of the predominant research and
practice pediatric physicians in the field.
This trip also
enabled the two to network with major companies regarding support for
the organization. They also were able to meet parents of ITP kids they
have had prior email contact, and made new contacts with parents from
other countries. |
